Figure 1: detection of "giant pulse" in ATA beamformer Crab Pulsar observation

A "giant pulse" is detected in recorded beamformer data from an ATA observation of the Crab Pulsar.  Dispersion is calculated from the plotted pulse slope over 512 Fourier channels within a ~8.7 MHz bandwidth centered on the 1420MHz observation frequency.  The dispersion measure matches within the precision limit to the published ATNF Pulsar Catalogue value.
